The California EPPIcard is the most convenient way to receive your federal benefits.

To Activate your California EPPIcard

Call the customer service hotline to select a PIN number

– Type your card number
– Enter the last four digits of your Social Security Number.
– Enter your Date of Birth (mm/dd/yyyy).
– Pick a four digit PIN. Enter it a second time to verify.
– Sign the back of your card in permanent ink.

Call Customer Service at 1-877-777-1617 or international calls 1-877-411-6119. Customer service representatives are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

You can call the California EPPIcard Customer Service hotline to

  • Check your card balance
  • Pick or change your PIN number
  • Ask any questions regarding your EPPIcard
  • Review your recent transactions
  • Dispute a charge on your card
  • Setup phone deposit and low balance alerts
  • Report a lost or stolen card

Check your EPPIcard Balance

By Phone: Call Customer Service at  1-877-777-1617.

You are allowed 3 free customer service calls each month. After 3 calls there will be a $0.50 charge for each call.

Online: Visit the California EPPIcard website and login to your account

At an ATM: Visit any ATM to check the balance of your EPPIcard

*note that fees may apply for checking your balance. Read the terms and conditions carefully to avoid unwanted fees.

 

Login to your EPPIcard Account

Visit the California EPPIcard website.

Type your User ID into the box on the left side of the screen.

If you are a new user you may sign up for an account online.

To sign up for an online account you will need:

  • Your 16 digit EPPIcard number
  • The CVV

  • Your social security number
  • Your date of birth (MM/DD/YYYY)
  • An email address – be sure it is active in case you forget your user login information.

You will be asked to select a UserID and Password for future login purposes.

  • Is there any other number to call customer service on the eppicard? I have been trying to contact them since last Sunday but I’ve been on hold for hours then I get disconnected . It’s very frustrating because I can’t log on through the website because it says fraud-suspended/cant log in. What does that mean? Will there be any money left on my card? PLEASE HELP

  • I have tried calling 12 times and have been on hold for 23 hours (have screenshots) since April and can not get through. I have called at 1 am, 12 am, 6 am, weekends and during peak hours and cant get through. I do not have access to my daughters child support since end of March and Im having extreme hardship due to that, She will not be passed grade unless I can pay her school tuition. California State is aware of the issue but can not help unless Eppicard answers their phones.....AND I am getting charged every time i call that I am left on hold for up to 3 hours at a time when I am not receiving any assistance. There is no email or alternate number to call for help besides one number they dont answer. My daughters education will be paying the price for this extreme negligence. So now I have to continue calling as I am currently now on hold for 2.5 hours. My card has not been able to be used since March and no one can tell me why. I was reissued a new card and it never got here.
    This is unbelievable.
